The Original Stiffkey Lampshop -

David Mann and Roger Belsten moved from London to Norfolk in 1973. After spending three years restoring a former public house, the old Townshend Arms in Stiffkey, they founded the Stiffkey Lamphop in 1976.
Before settling in Norfolk David had worked as a London interior decorator and designer in Belgravia, and Roger was an expert in the restoration of antique lamps. In the intervening 31 years up to its closure in December 2007 the Stiffkey Lampshop amassed a huge collection of antique lamps and period glass shades. David Mann embarked on a programme to create a wide range of faithfully copied antique lamps and difficult to find elegant bathroom lighting and in the manufacture of reproduction period home and garden lighting.
In its final years this reproduction catalogue could supply anything from a small table lamp to everything required to completely rewire a Victorian or Edwardian house in the style of the period.
Sadly the partnership came to an end in 2007 and the
  Stiffkey Lampshop no longer exists.
Fortunately for the many customers of the old Stiffkey Lampshop from around the world David Mann with his new partner Udom Laokote have a new venture in The English Lamp Company which can supply all of the same reproduction lighting plus restored antique lamps and original glass shades. In addition to the new website there is a showroom in The Old Stables at Bayfield Hall, near Holt in Norfolk, where many of the lamps featured online may be seen.
Recently they have widened the scope of the business to cover garden statuary, and reproduction classic garden furniture and some antique furniture under the banner of The Quintessential English Collection.
The new business has been pleased to supply The National Trust, English Heritage and many grand houses and restaurants in this country and around the world.
They look forward to supplying new customers and old friends alike at the English Lamp Company
